Annabel Hall
Principal.
Annabel was trained by her mother, Dorothy Coleborn. As a child, she won many dance competitions including 'Youth Takes a Bow', local Eisteddfods and All England Dance competitions. Annabel passed her teaching qualifications and went on to choreograph and prepare students for exams and competitions. She took over the running of the school, expanding it to enable the transfer from Englishcombe House to our current studios. Annabel is involved in the running of the school and is not quite ready to hang up her dancing shoes yet!

Annette Hind
Principal.
Annette started dancing at the age of 2 and was taught by Dorothy Coleborn and Annabel. She won many dance competitions as a child and also performed with the Scottish Ballet. Annette always wanted to teach and having gained Advanced in Ballet (Honours), Tap, Modern and National, she gained special permission to take her teaching exams a year early. Following this, she furthered her training in America in Los Angeles and New York and taking her Licenciates shortly after. She has directed 5 shows at the Theatre Royal in Bath and 7 shows at Disneyland Paris. Alongside this, she has prepared the pantomime babes for 25 years and also trained two ‘Billy Elliots’, a ‘Matilda’ and ‘Bruce’ as well as 8 ‘Chips’ for Beauty and the Beast. Annette has recently been awarded a life membership to the Royal Academy of Dancing.

Karen Paisey
Senior Ballet Mistress.
Karen started dancing at the Dorothy Coleborn School of Dancing where she now teaches.
At the age of 10 she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School and graduated into the Royal Ballet Company in 1979.
Remarkably, after six years, she attained Principle status .
She has performed all over the world leading roles which included Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Two Pigeons, to name but a few.
During her time with the Royal Ballet, Karen had roles created for her by leading Choreographers and danced by Royal Appointment on several occasions.
On retiring from the Royal Ballet Company, Karen was invited to teach on the Royal Ballet School’s Associate Programme in Bath.
Karen has taught on the Upper and Lower School Intensive Courses.
Being involved in the Audition process has added a new dimension to her teaching.
Karen has taught nationally and internationally and coaches privately, providing a support structure for Talented Dancers.

Heidi Postlethwaite
Advanced Modern Teacher.
Heidi trained at The Dorothy Coleborn School of Dancing and Bird College. She is a qualified Ballet, Modern and Tap teacher with the I.S.T.D and a registered teacher of the R.A.D.
Prior to her teaching career, Heidi danced professionally onboard Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and P&O Cruises, in summer seasons, pantomimes, fashion and trade shows and on Portuguese television! She played the part of Phyllis in two number 1 U.K Tours of the musical 42nd Street.
Heidi has taught at Dorothy Coleborn for 20 years! And has been lucky enough to be involved in four D.C shows, seven trips to perform at Disneyland, Paris and co-choreographer of Freckles the musical at Edinburgh Fringe. Beverley Butt
Senior Ballet Teacher
Beverley, (ARAD) graduated from the Royal Ballet Teacher Training Programme.
She specialises in vocational level and is our guest teacher, preparing children for exams.

Sophie Smith
DC Teacher.
Sophie trained at the Dorothy Coleborn School of Dancing before continuing her professional training at London Studio Centre, where she gained a BA Hons in Theatre Dance.
Sophie has taken her DDI in Modern Theatre Dance and gained an incredible 96% and is an accomplished choreographer.
Sophie has performed in at least six pantomimes at the Theatre Royal, Bath.

Sami Russell
Senior Contemporary Teacher.
Sami started dancing at Dorothy Coleborn when she was 3. She has since been teaching dance for 17 years in London, Chichester, Bristol, and Bath.
She graduated with a BAhons degree in dance from the University of Chichester and went on to study a master's degree in dance performance. During this time, she toured the UK and Europe as part of Map Dance Company and was fortunate enough to have worked with choreographers/ companies such as Shobana Jeyasingh, Lila Dance and Liz Agiss to name a few.
Post studying and training, Sami went on to create her own dance company in London; iDentity Co. The company has made appearances on Sky's, Got To Dance UK and has toured the UK in many dance and performance festivals.
Before moving back to Bath to start a family, Sami ran popular contemporary classes around London including at the world renowned studios, Dance Works and Pineapple. She has choreographed and staged pieces for many well-known dancers, gymnasts and artists, but has a real passion for teaching storytelling, through dance and choreography, to students and children. She now works as a freelance choreographer
and teacher and loves working with the talent at Dorothy Coleborns.

Joe trained at Italia Conti and worked for a number of years as a professional dance. His credits include: Tap Specialist in Night of the Dance (Germany), Spirit of the Dance (UK Tour), Tap Specialist in Hot Legs (European Tour), Peter Pan (Millfield Theatre) and performances with Headliners Theatre Company on-board the P&O Aurora. He has also performed at a number of high profile corporate events and in adverts for Film 4, Pringles and Ford Mondeo. Joe has an MA in Dance Technique Pedagogy and holds his Fellowship Modern and Licentiate Tap with the ISTD. He has taught and choreographed jazz, tap and contemporary for a number of professional colleges including Creative Academy, Italia Conti, Morea Performing Arts, Brit School, CPA Studios and D&B College. He currently runs the BA Honours Dance Course at UCW and teaches at a number of schools and colleges across the south west. He is loving being a part of Dorothy Coleborn.

Kitty O'Gara
Assistant Teacher.
Kitty started dancing at Dorothy Coleborn at the age of three. She started a run of performances at the Theatre Royal in Bath having first played a Munchkin The Wizard of Oz.
She has been lucky enough to have represented Dorothy Coleborn as a dancer in three pantomimes.
Kitty has performed in two DC shows; Spellbound and Raising the Barre and has danced at Disneyland Paris. She was also a finalist representing DC at the ISTD Star Tap challenge.
Kitty has achieved Advanced level for Modern, Tap and Ballet and is very proud of her highest exam result which is 99%.
At the age of nine Kitty successfully auditioned for Tap Attack and trained for one year in their regional associate programme. This lead her on to being selected for the Team GB tap team competing in four World Championships.
Presently she is a member of Tap Attack’s elite training company.

Feli Lloyd
Tap & Hip Hop Teacher
I grew up dancing at Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance where I completed both RAD Ballet and ISTD Modern and Tap grades up to Advanced.
Dorothy Coleborn gave me many opportunities such as travelling to Disneyland Paris where I performed as Sharpay in High School Musical and returned some years later, performing a range of different dances.
Other performance credits include dancing in five professional pantomimes at the Theatre Royal, Bath and Bristol Hippodrome.
In addition to this, I also trained in musical theatre and singing at Bristol School of Performing Arts.
I was also a Tap Attack company member where I competed at the World Championships representing Team GB gaining four World Champion titles. I also got different opportunities through Tap Attack like performing on the main stage at Move It in London for two years, along with travelling to America, where I took part in Tap United and trained at an American dance school.
I attended Bath Dance College where I achieved a Level-3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.
I then went on to study on the Musical Theatre Degree Course at Performers College, Essex.
