The show is set in 1930s South Devon. Freckles revolves around a hard-to-place foster child who challenges deep-rooted sensibilities.Written and directed by Mel Lawman, it featured toe-tapping original songs and 'electric choreography' from Annette,Heidi and Sophie.The show was developed in masterclasses with the composer Claude Michel Schonberg. With songs shortlisted for the Stiles and Drewe Best Song from a New Musical 2015 the show had a 4 and 5 star review at the Edinburgh Fringe August 2016. Auditions were held to search for the triple threat performers who could cope with the demands of the show. 15 of our pupils travelled to Edinburgh to perform at the Greenside Theatre. The cast performed to the crowds on the Royal Mile in the day and to packed audiences every evening.
